Because we’re little stinkers, we’re putting Charlize Theron’s whole getup at the Rome Fast X premiere up to a vote, even though we’re pretty sure y’all are gonna hate it:

We burst out laughing at it ourselves. There’s just something funny about a woman who so embodies the western beauty ideal putting on something inherently ridiculous and trying to pass it off as chic. This is a goth pool coverup ensemble – or at least it would be without the pumps and the leather beret, the latter of which is what really tips this whole look over into the silly. If you check how the model wore it on the runway (below), you can see how the styling choices are more of a problem than the actual design is. With the right shoes, worn the right way and after having burned that stupid hat on a ritual fire, we think this could work. As it is… well, she’s damn lucky she’s considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. Then again, that may be why she chose this in the first place, figuring she could make just about anything look good. Can she? We know our answer to that question, but we’re curious to see if enough contrarians want to weigh in on this one.
