Miss Katy stopped by Jimmy Kimmel’s place for a chat and she opted for her usual tastefully restrained elegance when it came to picking out her ensemble for the occasion.

This is a WHOLE LOT for a talk show appearance, but “a whole lot” is basically her aesthetic and her personality, so it fits. The top is actually kind of interesting. We like the jacket and the boots, but the skirt’s a little too tacky for us. Weirdly, it all feels like a throwback to aughts fashion, which makes it feel a little tryhard; like she’s recycling old outfits from 15 years ago. But we can’t really claim she looks bad in it. It works surprisingly well on set.
