The Academy knows that the best way to get west coast people to pay attention to a 5:30 am announcement is to get really pretty celebrities to do it for you.
Miss Allison is SERVING. This ensemble hits the mark exactly: it’s eye-catching and telegenic, but it’s also professional and has the kind of restraint you’d want, so that the wearer doesn’t come across like she’s confused about her role here. In other words, she grabs attention, but not so much that it looks attention-seeking. We still don’t like bows on grownup clothes, but the color looks so good on her that we don’t care about the wreath accessory hanging from her neck. He can look good in anything and we really don’t have a problem with casual suits (or what used to be called leisure suits), but the color is terrible for him and the fit has gone past “relaxed” and entered “gigantic” territory.
