Having had a banner, record-breaking career week with the release of “Midnights” and the subsequent frenzy that followed it, Taylor Swift stopped by Jimmy Fallon’s place for a little victory lap. She chose a really cute suit for the occasion and we kinda wish she hadn’t.
We love the suit. It’s bold and confident, eye-catching and full of personality and style. Generally, we’re not fans of print suits with matching print blouses, but the combination works really well here. Our problem is that it’s more of a stand-and-pose outfit than it is a “sitting down on camera” one. The print is too busy for television and the jacket seems to bunch up around her midsection when she sits down. Granted, that might have been mitigated if she’d unbuttoned the jacket before sitting but we can kind of understand the impulse to keep it buttoned so it doesn’t billow out around her. She looks great in it, but we don’t think this is the right setting for it.
