Sacha Dhawan, Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill hit the red carpet for the world premiere of the 13th Doctor’s swan song, which is kind of a sad sort of reason to get dressed up.

But they got dressed up anyway. We can’t help but see this as a bittersweet occasion. Jodie was always so well suited to this role and she really did give it everything she had (which is considerable), but the writing was lackluster during her entire tenure; a disappointing outcome for the first actress to be cast in the role.

This is… perfect, actually. We wouldn’t change a thing, except we’d make him take that jacket off and give it to us, whom God intended to have it. Love the boots.

Our disappointment regarding her tenure is extended to this outfit, which is… not great. The color doesn’t suit her and it looks a couple sizes too large on her.

This is pretty great. We can understand not wanting to go shirtless under that vest, but that satin top she’s got peeking out doesn’t do all that much for the suit. Love the jewelry and manicure.

We’re sorry she never got the chance to really shine with this character, but we’re also really looking forward to seeing what happens when Russell T Davies and Ncuti Gatwa take over. Like we said: bittersweet. It was ever thus with the Doctor.
