We think it’s safe to say that Michelle Williams’ buzzy turn as a loosely fictionalized version of Steven Spielberg’s mother in The Fabelmans is likely to get a big awards season push. Normally, we might consider this unexpected look for the film’s Toronto Film Festival premiere her opening style move for awards, but since she’s in her third trimester, we kinda doubt we can base any predictions on this look. The lady went for pure comfort.
There was a time, much earlier in our blogging career and her acting career, when we dubbed her Princess Twee-as-Fuck, but her style has matured quite a bit in recent years. She will likely be back out on the promo trail this winter if she’s really likely to snag some nomination buzz and we half-wonder if she doesn’t take the opportunity to adjust her style once again. Anyway, this is strikingly chic and impressively practical for her right now. Her hair looks great.
