That is a really cute dress at first glance. Not that it stops being cute after that first glance, but the more we take it in, the weirder those sleeve anemones look to us. We don’t know what else to call them. If she were on a red carpet, we might be more nitpicky about that design element, but it’s a great sitting-down look when paired with those killer boots. And speaking of killer boots…

We can’t blame her for wanting to get the most out of this pair. They look great on her and they transform each of the outfits she paired with them. Having said that, we like how it transformed the dress on Jimmy Kimmel more than we like what it did for this look. The idea of pairing them with a tuxedo jacket is a sound one, but the design of that jacket is really annoying. Jackets don’t need bustles or trains and they certainly don’t need a bunch of fabric wrapped around the waist. It’s not a terrible look, largely because of how much the boots pull focus, but the jacket’s not working for us.
