While we don’t always love where her preferences take her, we adore that Tessa Thompson always goes HAM in her public style choices. This is objectively a ridiculous choice for a sit-down interview on television:
Note that even the purse and the shades are unforgettable and focus-pulling, even though she only chose them to walk through a parking lot. We admit that we don’t like the design of the dress at all. The brown python print isn’t particularly well-utilized and the bust looks flimsy and unstructured. All of that nonsense in the back is practically unworkable. And yet, it’s so hard to look away from that it has a certain appeal to it. No matter how bad the design, we’ll always have a little respect for a dress that demands you take a minute to figure it out. Her hair looks gorgeous. Those shoes look like torture devices designed to produce heel blisters.
