Tom Holland’s Bad Hair Period reaches its zenith as he takes to the streets of New York to film The Crowded Room.

His costume is definitely on point for that late ’70s dreary period. Kudos to everyone for making everyone’s favorite super-teen look like shit. To be fair, she looks pretty great, but they gave her something of a timeless look while making sure he looks as dated as possible.

The Crowded Room is an anthology series about people learning to live with mental illness. Holland is playing a fictionalized version of Billy Milligan, the first person to be acquitted for a crime (rape) due to a dissociative identity disorder. We have to give him credit for choosing this sort of project for his post-Spider-Man: No Way Home/Uncharted period. No shade, but we haven’t yet seen a performance from him that would indicate a facility with this type of material, but we won’t fault an actor for trying to challenge himself. He’s always struck us as ambitious and focused, so we don’t doubt he’s got awards consideration on his career checklist.
