Country Barbie once again stepped out in something discussable, a word which is, in this instance, possibly a synonym for tacky. Or not! We’re just saying.

It’s a shiny purple leopard print mini-dress with a slit to the hip. Perhaps our line dividing tacky from non-tacky clothing is in the wrong place, but we tend to think when you add up those descriptors, you’ve crossed the Rubicon of tacky. On the other hand, any music awards show is an invitation for the stars to dress outrageously. We’ve long opined that country stars, perhaps because they feel slighted by the rest of the industry or because they feel they have to fight some Hee Haw-esque misconceptions about their work and themselves, tend to dress a little too conservatively and generically. We know the days of gigantic Loretta Lynn prairie gowns or Patsy Cline rodeo costumes are long behind us, but we still think folks should get as honky tonk as possible for their country music red carpets. Personally, we’re less concerned about the dress being tacky (embrace it!) than we are about the weird fit and some of the design elements. Why are their shoulder straps paired with a halter strap? Does a skirt that short really need a slit? Because it throws the line of the dress off. What good does that waist seam do? So many questions. Perhaps you should step in and attempt to answer them all. Or you could be lazy about it and just answer one question; the most important one of all:
