Well, it had to happen eventually. We’ve been shrieking our praises of Anya Taylor-Joy as a red carpet up-and-comer practically from the first moment her foot ever landed on a red carpet. The girl’s got style, a knack for grabbing attention, bone structure for days, and a savvy sense of how to utilize and set off her looks with style choices. But at some point, it was inevitable that she’d make a wrong step.

It’s a no from us, girl. Shake it off. It happens.

The way we see it, going all “ice princess” to promote a Viking movie is not at all a bad idea. Our problem with this choice is that it looks way too much like a figure skater’s costume. It’s also too short on her – not because the hem is scandalously high, but because the waist hits at the wrong spot and it makes it look like she’s too tall for this size (which she is). The shape of it just isn’t appealing to us. We also think it was a mistake to move away entirely from the runway styling. The crystal tights gave it more of a fantasy fashion feel. We’re even a little disappointed by the shoe choice. Something in the ice blue range would have been much more interesting.
