Miss Laverne had herself a night at the People’s Choice Awards, first by debuting in her E! Red Carpet hosting gig and then by stepping onto the stage herself as a presenter. Of course she didn’t limit herself to one look for the night. That’s so not Laverne. You know what else is so not Laverne? Boring dresses.
This is a lot of fun and we love the exuberance of it. Us being us, we have our share of quibbles. Love the wig color, but not the wig shape. Love the feathers, but not the exposed bust, belt, or overall shape of the skirt. Still, she gets points for not coming quietly. We couldn’t name one Giulana Rancic red carpet outfit and we watched her for years.
We realize it’s the one thing turning this dress into something more interesting, but we hate the bow. It might be a much simpler gown without it, but it would also be a prettier one, in our opinion. The color looks spectacular on her and we love her hair.
