Once again, we thank a superstar couple for deigning to serve us some uncomplicated glamour. Ben and Jen have their slightly showier way of doing things whereas Amal and Mr. Amal tend to keep things on the straight and narrow, style-wise. We’re just happy to see them back.

It’s funny. We know damn well we’d have been a lot more critical of these ensembles in the Before Times. He dresses like a Secret Service agent and he’s been around long enough to know that standing with your hand in your pocket and an unbuttoned jacket on the red carpet is an affectation. She always tends to have one touch or accessory that feels like it’s a bridge too far and those feather cuffs are it this time. They’re kind of fun, but the whites clash and the gown honestly looks better without them. But these are the kinds of petty nitpicks we would have made before the pandemic. Now, we’re far too kind-hearted and grateful to state them.
George has started coloring his hair. We’re not opposed in theory because we always thought the white hair aged him prematurely, but we’re not sure this sandy brown is the way to go. He just needs a little more pepper in his salt-and-pepper, if he wants to youthen himself a little.
