Minnie Driver’s been doing the whole Minnie Driver gig for a good while now, and she’s always struck as one of those unusually savvy and low-maintenance stars who treats the work like work, instead of the more common star approach of making one’s work and one’s life inseparable. Our only reason for bringing this up is because we think this dress tends to illustrate our point.
It’s a smart, bright, eye-catching look that will serve her well on TV and it doesn’t come off too fussy, trendy or hard to wear.
We don’t know if she had any information about what guest host Julie Bowen was going to wear that night, but Minnie’s dress serves as a great counter to Bowen’s, which is slightly too focus-pulling for a host, in our sniffy opinion.
