The celebrity style pickins are slim as Hollywood goes into pre-Oscars hibernation, but thankfully, we’ve got Tracee Ellis Ross and her willingness to wear whatever anyone throws over her fence. In this case the thrower was her stylist Karla Welch and the thrown was a sharp, bold, if slightly puzzling suit.

We love that styling in 2021 means throwing something over a fence and hoping the wearer will figure it out. We love her hair, the choice of the earrings and the completely counter-intuitive choice of the boots. But we won’t deny we find the “Night before Christmas” verse to be more than a little distracting. Granted, you can’t see it on TV, but it’s such an odd design choice.

Anyway, thank you for these fashion blessings, Miss Tracee. You look fabulous.
