Critics’ Choice Awards: “The Flight Attendant” Star Kaley Cuoco in Dolce & Gabbana

On the one hand, we feel like Kaley Cuoco doesn’t get enough recognition from us regarding her eye-catching, sometimes off-the-beaten-path style choices. On the other hand, this look dazzled us at first glance, but dimmed considerably each time we looked at it.

That jacket is a lot of fun and it seems to us like a great starting point to spin off a whole closet full of fabulous ensembles. But we don’t like it at all with the shirt or the rest of the suit. We’d say it goes costume-y, but we have no idea what sort of costume it’s supposed to be. She’s all “Vegas Big Top Revue Ringmaster” on top and “non-profit CEO at a gala” everywhere else. We just don’t love the shape of the pants paired with that kind of razzle-dazzle top. Speaking of which, there may be too much razzle in that dazzle. We don’t think the shirt needed to be as heavily embellished as the jacket and vest, although we do love the lace cuffs peeking out.

All the credit in the world to her and Brad for picking such a distinct, uniquely glam sort of look (even if it is being supplied by two problematic designers). It feels like a true representation of her personality; fun, sparkly, and stylishly quirky. It just doesn’t quite add up for us as a design, though. Love the shoes and the jewelry. The sleek hair was probably a smart choice to keep things as chic and toned-down as possible.
