Once again, we turn to Saturday Night Live – formerly the last place we’d look – for the biggest jolt of celebrity style we’re likely to see all week. As we’ve noted the last few times we featured a rundown of the SNL guest host’s show looks, it helps both that they’re inviting unusually fashion conscious hosts of late (Kristen Wiig, Dan Levy, John Krasinski) and that the opportunities for celebrities to use the fashion options at their beck and call in order to promote their projects (i.e., red carpets, talk shows and photo calls) are severely limited, which means there are a ton of gorgeous high-end looks and luxury goods just lying around, begging for someone famous to wear them. Miss Regina’s got an unusually wide style range for a celebrity, and she made good use of the opportunity to turn her hosting gig into an awards season style blitz.
Prabal Gurung
We think we might have had some quibbles with this dress on a red carpet. The length is a little odd and that flash of white at the bottom has us concerned. On the other hand, the gorgeous print and colors take a great photograph and we love the addition of the sheer gloves.
Oscar de la Renta
Sweet, sassy, Valentine’s Day perfection. She looks amazing.
Christian Dior
Also a super-cute, sexy-romantic look. Love the high waist and deep metallic red of the skirt. She takes such great pictures.
Etro
We would never normally say this about an ensemble that includes what look like brown leather shorts, but this is absolutely adorable on her. LOVE the combo of gold metallic jacket and a big kitty bow.
David Koma
A cute, simple dress with an eye-catching shape; perfect for standing still and posing.
What sorcery is this? A neon metallic jacket, you guys. By any measure, that’s a nearly impossible item to pull off. How is it she made it look effortless?
Another great look for standing and posing, since we don’t think this would survive ten minutes in a limo or sitting down on a talk show set.
