WERQ From Home: Mindy Kaling in Rodarte

Miss Mindy once again reached into her closet (or her stylist’s bag o’ merch) to model something sweetly romantic and possibly even a little toothache-inducing on the ‘gram.

That is one SUPER-twee frock. While we can’t say it’s really to our tastes, we also can’t say it’s not working for her. As much as we tend to dislike heart motif prints for being too juvenile and as much as we want to go off on that insanely precious sheer ruffled collar, we think she looks really great in this. The hair and makeup are doing a lot of the work to elevate this look, as is the impeccable fit. But she does tend to look like she’s the owner of a whimsical candy store.

Having said that, we appreciate that she didn’t wear white or red pumps, which might have tipped this completely into “walking Valentine” territory. We don’t love the clear-strap sandals, but we do think sandals were the right way to go here.
