Miss Emily is bravely soldiering on after half the internet had a good laugh at the rather dicey accent work happening in her new film (see the trailer below and faith and begorrah, you better prepare yourself first if you haven’t seen this shamrock shake of a preview) and we’re impressed at how well she’s pulled herself together.
Aw, we’re just teasing. Even Jamie Dornan’s natural Irish accent comes off a little forced in that Irish Spring commercial of a trailer. And besides, Miss Emily never truly lets us down on the fashion front, so we can’t keep up the bitchy act (which is not an act).
Cute! The lighting is turning the silver accents white, which is kind of a shame, but it’s a pretty dress. We’re not convinced the boots work with the short sleeves, but we’re nitpicky that way. Since the runway model is sporting one, we wonder if a cute little cardigan might have finished this off perfectly.
Also cute! Kind of at that halfway point between formalwear and loungewear, which makes it perfectly 2020-appropriate. In order to earn our keep and remain the nitpicky bitches you love, we’re going to suggest that the ruffled cuffs would work better if the sleeves were full-length. Agree/disagree?
Aye, she’s a fine lassie, to be sure, but we’ll be skipping this one.
