Miss Demi hosted this year’s People’s Choice Awards and like all good TV awards show hostesses, opted to put on a veritable runway show of her own. Attagirl. Give us everything.
If there was an over-arching theme to her collection of ensembles, we’d say “sparkle” probably ranks high on the list. In a year when so many of us have decided that loungewear is actually activewear, it makes sense to kick off the night in a pair of chic pajamas. They’re probably a little too plain in shape and design for us to love them, but the color looks great on her.
We’re not super-crazy about the shape of the skirt. We’ve never counted ourselves as experts regarding what women want to wear, but do y’all really want ass-wings? We tend to think not. Great dress otherwise, though. Love the colors on her. Not feeling the shoes.
Alexandre Vauthier Couture
Here is where we admit we don’t know what kind of witchcraft or blackmail is deployed to get so many women in Alexandre Vauthier pieces, which always look like a clearance rack at a bridal store to us. Demi, you deserve better than this. Granted, we have an irrational hatred of asymmetrical skirts, but even so. The color is bad, the textile looks cheap and the style doesn’t suit her at all.
This is nice enough but the neckline is wide and the color isn’t the best choice for her. She’s much better in jewel tones than pastels.
Another pretty good look with a neckline that lets her down. The fullness of the skirt and the sleeves don’t work with that plunging neckline.
