Gosh. You guys know how much we dislike being harsh in our judgments. We would never! But after looking at J Lo’s sad mess and Dua Lipa’s unfinished drag at this year’s AMAs, we started frantically going through the rest of the red carpet looks, hoping there was someone who showed up serving us the sickening we so thoroughly craved. And, well. We’re just forced to ask the question here:
Did everyone show up at the AMAs looking bad this year? Is it a 2020 thing? Have the celebs and their style teams gotten rusty? We’re seriously asking. Because like J Lo, we simply don’t expect Miss Cara to come to an event like this and not slay the red carpet. We like the idea of a silver metallic tux, but this looks so cheap to us. The flesh-colored bustier looks terrible. We’re not loving the length of the pant and we think black pumps were the least interesting choice of shoe possible. As always, she’s serving killer face. Can’t take that away from her. But this whole ensemble is not up to the fierce Delevingne style standards, to our way of thinking. That’s what you get for picking D&G – especially when it’s something outside their usual Sicilian Widow drag.
