One time Lorenzo caught Tom watching some period drama and asked him what it was. “It’s Judi Dench in a bonnet,” he replied. “What more do you need to know?” In that vein, whatever else The Dig is, it’s a bunch of British actors in 1930s tweeds. How much more information do you need?
Oh, fine. We’ll give you the somewhat scant details anyway:
The Dig
Director: Simon Stone
Screenplay by: Moira Buffini
Based on the novel by: John Preston

We looked up the novel this is based on and it actually does sound like an interesting story that might avoid all the tweedy cliches of English period country dramas. And it’s got a killer cast, to boot.
