Pope Tilda masks up, Venetian style.
It’s a good thing the mask is so stunning, because – as grateful as we are to have red carpet fashion to discuss – we’re not really feeling that top at all. The skirt is lovely, but the top is so shapeless that it almost looks like maternity wear. It’s just a column of fabric with a ruffle at the bottom and a collar that looks like deflated clownwear. Even in the runway shots, the model can’t really make anything happen with that top. It just hangs off a body. Still, we get that she might have wanted something fairly low-key and quiet, as red carpet looks go. Gorgeous skirt, great shoes, and a fabulous accessory, but not even our Fashion Pontiff can make that top sing.
It’s comforting to know that we can still be judgmental bitches in these uncertain times.
