YES MISS HAILEE!!!!!
Sorry. It’s just that we’re so thrilled to have a celebrity wearing fashion in front of a camera. It’s been so goddamn LONG, you guys! We’re also thrilled because this is exactly what we’ve been saying all along; exactly what we’ve been imploring celebrities to do ever since this whole mess started. To sum up our pleas when the red carpets of the world all passed into extinction abruptly: “You’ve got nice houses, access to high fashion and probably pretty decent camera equipment. Make it work, stars.”
Look, this isn’t high art, obviously. It’s not even very interesting fashion. But stars and stylists can still do the publicity work the world likes to see from them if they keep their expectations manageable. And as we noted in last week’s podcast, the appeal of Zoomified entertainment is having diminishing returns. We’d much rather see a pop star in a Georges Hobeika gown swanning around her house trying to entertain us than a bunch of shiny-faced stars peering into their phones and shooting hostage videos.
Her stylists set her up remotely and her MOM staged the set for her. You have got to love that kind of can-do attitude propping up a short little moment of glamour. Style-wise, the dress is okay. It works for what she’s doing and it’s perfectly within her style preferences. She looked cutely glamorous and the hair and makeup served her well. Well done all around. More of this, please.
