Céline Dion in Oscar de la Renta Out and About in NYC

Posted on March 09, 2020

Tante Céline is a magical fashion creature who wanders the streets in sweaters and ballgowns, cradling flowers. No, really. Not a metaphor:

And we didn’t even mention the white thigh-highs. Is this look an explosion of cray? Is Tante Céline making it all look like a perfectly natural way to live your life? Oh honey, yes. Perhaps it is not for mere mortals such as you or we to approach such mundane tasks as walking down a sidewalk, but Tante Céline lives in a different world. A more colorful, expressive, magical world. Don’t let’s criticize her. Just be thankful she’s visiting our world for a while.

“Our book Legendary Children: The First Decade of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the Last Century of Queer Life is on sale now!

The Washington Post said it “arrives at just the right time … because the world needs authenticity in its stories. Fitzgerald and Marquez deliver that, giving readers an insight into the important but overlooked people who made our current moment possible.”
