Darlings, can all the squeeing and excitement over the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer extend to Gal Gadot’s dress as she announced said trailer? Because we’re having some problems getting excited over this one.

It’s a combination of some pretty odd elements, no? There’s the bra-like bust, the belly cutout, and the weird pattern in the skirt. Plus the color story’s not exactly the most exciting in the world. We figure she wanted something photogenic and far away from the Wonder Woman costume, while still serving up some body-conscious visual interest. On paper, this dress should be checking off all the boxes. But are we wrong for thinking it’s both dull and too weird for its own good?
