Darlings, let’s move away from all these nervous pre-Oscars stars and go across the pond to judge some Brits! Just for the fun of it.
Calvin Harris in Tom Ford
He’s making that shiny brown suit work, but we can’t stand the loafers or the turtleneck.
Florence Welch in Gucci
On anyone else, this would look bridal. On her, it looks on-brand.
H.E.R. in Coach
This all works for us. It’s fantastically on-point, it’s well-executed, and it’s loaded with personality.
Liam Payne in Hugo Boss
No complaints here. He’s pretty.
Luke Evans
Always enjoy Luke and his tight pants, but that belt buckle’s distracting and the t-shirt’s a bit too understated.
Natalie Dormer
Making leather and denim look chic. The cuffing situation is annoying and we definitely think there were better shoe choices than those, but we like this look.
Pink in Cushnie
A moto over a gown is a big ol’ cliche at this point, but we figure Pink gets special leeway on the matter, since the look is so classically her. It just doesn’t look all that great with a neon yellow gown, though.
Sam Smith in Raf Simons
Sweetie, no. Someone should have had the nerve to tell you this before you walked out the door. Never squeeze yourself into a suit that doesn’t fit you – especially when that suit is the color of toothpaste.
Shawn Mendes
It amazes us how he gets away with the American Gigolo look without making it look sleazy or douchey.
