Miss Nicole’s been out there doing the damn work and we feel a little bad because we kept pushing this post back for more attention-seeking fare. But one thing she doesn’t get enough credit for is her ability to switch things up depending on the situation, the venue, and what she’s trying to say about herself. Here she is serving two very different looks that nonetheless feel just right for her.

Miss Lady is serving BLOUSE and COAT. Also BAG. Which is all a nice way of saying that we love the aforementioned items and do not quite love the pants. Creased denim cropped pants are a rough proposition for most mortal clothes-wearers. She’s got the chops to pull them off, but just barely. Still, it’s a chic, smart look that speaks of a professional sort of vibe, with just a hint of glamour to it.

PinThis, on the other hand, is about as Nicole Kidman as a red carpet look can get. It’s frou-frou and dramatic and lightly chic. And it seems, all things considered, fairly free of too much effort on her part. She could work a look like this in her sleep, is what we’re saying. And that makes it perfectly on point for an event like this one, which isn’t exactly A-List, but makes a smart stop for the A-List awards-seeker to show that she’s in the game. The only thing surprising about it is the label, since this doesn’t look much like the Miu Miu house style.
