Look at that First Lady, going out in a dress inspired by foundation garments. Remember when it was the end of the world because you could see her upper arms? Whether you love her, hate her, or are indifferent about her, there’s no denying she changed the image of an American First Lady on a profound level.

Granted, a dress like this would’ve been considered a lot racier (because of the defined cups and foundation garment motif) in previous decades, but even so. We can’t think of many political wives in 2015 who’d wear this dress at a public event. She may have changed the image of the First Lady, but we suspect the next one to come along won’t be as adventurous in her style.
She looks fantastic – and very glamorous. Our only quibble is that she’s someone who raises her arms a lot when addressing a crowd, so that kind of neckline/strap can look a little restrictive when she tries to do so.
