It says something about her style that, even though this is goofy as hell and has all kinds of weird and unflattering proportions, we consider it something of an improvement.
Lena Dunham at ABC Studios in New York City for an appearance on “Good Morning America” to promote her new book in a black dress paired with an Irene Neuwirth ‘Lamby’ necklace.
Like practically everything else she wears, it’s essentially a party dress for a toddler. What makes it almost work is the black color; partially because it raises the sophistication level (this would be an assault on the eyes if it was pink) and partially because she’s one of those people who looks really good in black. The shoulder ruffles are terrible and the proportions on the skirt aren’t friendly to her, but when she sits down, it all kinda works, which makes it a pretty decent choice for a morning talk show.
Did she buy those shoes in 2007 or what?
