It doesn’t read “red carpet” at all. It reads “lunch and shopping with the girls.” Something about the white dress with the white bag and the yellow flip-flops (cute and all, but still: flip-flops) just reads way too daytime casual. The dress looks great on her, and while there’s a little bit too much in the way of competing yellows and whites, we like how coordinated the whole look is. Still, she needed a different bag, shoes and jewelry to dress this up in the right way; slightly more formal sandals, possibly metallic, and a clutch or smaller handbag in a contrasting color.
