Kittens, here’s a perfect example of Girl, That’s Your Dress/Girl, That’s Not Your Dress.
Consider:
Sarah Hyland attends “Modern Family” photo call at The Sebel in Sydney, Australia in a Camilla and Marc dress paired with a Rebecca Minkoff ‘Vincent’ minaudière and Charlotte Olympia heels.
Super cute and fresh; totally suits her. This would be a difficult look for her to screw up. While we don’t think white should necessarily be her first choice of color, the dress has enough interesting design elements (not to mention a shape that’s perfect for her) that it’s not an issue. Love the shoes. Kinda hate the hair.
And then there’s this:
Sarah Hyland attends the “Vampire Academy” premiere at Event Cinemas George Street in Sydney, Australia in a Temperley London dress paired with a Kotur clutch, Jimmy Choo heels, and a Anita Ko ring.
It’s not a terrible dress…
…
Okay, no. It’s pretty bad on its own. It looks like something from that section of the Target store devoted to teenage girls’ bedroom/dorm room decor. That would be the section we never enter, but can’t help noticing from far away because it’s such an explosion of bright pink synthetic fabrics. And because she’s such a tiny little thing, the shape is doing nothing for her.
Stick to the dresses with a little shape to them, dear. And stay away from acid-pinks, would you?
