Daniel Radcliffe in Raf Simons at the “What If” New York Premiere

It drives some folks nuts to see the Amish-style “buttoned-up shirt with no tie” thing; especially when paired with a suit. And while we agree that it can come off way too precious on some guys, on others, it feels totally appropriate. For the most part, it’s a look reserved for the twinks of the world:

Like so. You wouldn’t want to see bigger guys like, say, Zachary Quinto or Chris Pratt attempt this look. The former would look like a serial killer and the latter would look like a tent revival preacher. No, this is for the Elijah Woods and Dan Radcliffes of the world.

Having said that, we’re not entirely sold on the colors here. We love tone-on-tone, but we tend to think that there needs to be a certain level of contrast between a jacket and shirt. And looking at these pics, we’re wondering now if that need only intensifies without a tie to break up the monotony. One thing’s for sure: it’s a gorgeous suit.

Now can we please get someone to convince him to groom his head. He looks so … fuzzy. At the very least, let’s get those brows under control. They look like they belong on an 80-year-old’s face.
