Posted on July 29, 2014

This is a really cute look/she looks polished and put together/she should raise the hem yaddayaddayadda.

Okay. So.

Witches of East End. Who’s up on it? We watched the first few episodes of the first season and then sort of lost track of it and never went back. Is it worth going back to? The first few eps looked like semi-campy fun. As long as the show doesn’t take itself too seriously, we could be talked into it.

It really is a cute look for her, although the shoes are a bit too on point. Something with a little contrast would’ve made us happier.

Okay, you have an array of discussion points. Get to it, people.

The dress is too long and is bunching up around her hips in a bewildering manner. A contrasting shoe would have been nice.
Is heavy metal playing? ‘Cause I can’t figure out what she’s doing with her left hand in the third shot.

      • smayper

        Horns of the beast, duuuuuuuuuude.

      • liberalteapot

She could be mid wave. that’s what I assumed.

        • Gatto Nero

I figured. (Just a bit of snark.)

    • nomoreprinces

The shows alright. The first season ended interestingly enough. However, this season… is well…. wow? Not sure if it’s a good wow or I’m just still to stunned wow, but this may be the first time in TV land not in anime land where tentacle beast sex is an actual thing that is happening.

      • Leah Elzinga

it would seem you’re not a Buffy/Angel fan then, huh?

        • nomoreprinces

I think I stopped watching Buffy after it went from WB to CW. After that I took a 4 year break from tv to finish my degree and never got back into it.

        • sienna elm

Speaking of – she really resembles Cordelia in that third picture!

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1234087433 Jen Freeman

I’d love to see her and Charisma Carpenter play sisters in something.

        • All_Hail_Great_Satin

As a longstanding Buffy/Angel fan, when did tentacle beast sex happen on either show?!

          • Leah Elzinga

oh not literally, I guess, but plenty of crazy weird sex with demons, monsters, aliens, parasites, etc.

    • j_am

The show is CRAZY. Kind of enjoyable, really, if you can totally suspend the need for plot and/or character development.

    • Pterodactyl111

The show is campy fun. I am board.

    • Maluca

I’m having issues with the sleeves. There’s too much sleeve. And yes, too much length. As for the show, I liked the first season but I just haven’t gotten into the second.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

The dress would be improved by a different sleeve and a shorter length.

    • hughman

Hey if sleeping with Channing Tatum meant I had to match all my shoes to my gin soaked kimono/housecoat, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

ETA : I do not actually own a “gin soaked kimono/housecoat”. I do not spill gin.

      • Leah Elzinga

This could be the world’s most fun game of Mad Libs. It’s just a series of ” Hey, if sleeping with Channing Tatum meant I had to (verb) in my (adverb, verb), I’d do it in an heartbeat. Think of the possibilities!

Gin is too precious to be spilled-imbibe yes, spill, nevah.

        • Kent Roby

I spill vodka all the time, right into my mouth. It’s a complete accident.

          • bitchybitchybitchy

An errant splash of wine has been known to end up in my mouth!

    • MilaXX

Witches of East end never grabbed me. I haven’t seen any of it. I like this, but the hem looks poorly done. The rest looks fine, but it’d be hard to make her look truly bad.

    • FibonacciSequins

Hem the skirt and let it out a skosh around the hips. Otherwise, she looks super cute. Haven’t seen the show, but I too could be up for some campy, witchy fun.

*I just realized the folds around the hips are intentional. It’s hard to tell because of the print. Forget letting out the dress, carry on!

      • Constant Reader

Those folds are intentional? Then I wish the designer had set another intention because it looks like a bad fit.

    • AlexisPayne

Its fun, it’s candy coated drama fun. I mean it’s a Lifetime TV show about witches, it could be a lot worse.
I say all this as a fan who without fail tunes in week after week.
But I also keep up with Once Upon a Time . . .

    • http://fibonaccisequins.storenvy.com/ Danielle

She has princess hair. I love it.

      • Shawn EH

She’s adorable. Channing is very lucky; now maybe if she could give him some style pointers?

    • lilibetp

I’m still watching it. It has its moments.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Don’t know the TV series at all. She’s a very cute woman, love her hair & makeup, and I love the top 2/3 of her outfit, but everything south of the knees is just plain wrong.

    • marlie

Aside from some slight fit issues in the waist, this is a perfectly fine look. Even though her face is a little shiny, her hair and makeup look good.

As for the show, I’m in the same boat as TLo. The show dropped off my my schedule, but it was sort of silly fun, in the same way that “Charmed” was. I might go back to it.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Me too – I think I watched the first 3 episodes, liked all the pretty people, but never went back.

    • Ms_flyover

If you’re into Avatar/Demon/Anime sex with tentacles, you’ll love this season. The word “twincest” has been used appropriately. In short, they are putting the “guilty” in guilty pleasure (or the pleasure, I suppose, depending on your tastes.)

Perhaps they just felt the need to one-up Minotaur sex.

    • Constant Reader

I wish the skirt stopped at the knee, that the waist/hip area wasn’t so problematic (it’s the dress, not Jenna), and that the shoes weren’t matchy. But she is undeniably gorgeous and working it, and that counts for a lot.

    • S-k-s

Is it just me, or have there been a lot of weirdly prim and proper looks at Comic-Con this year? (Care blanchet, this one, Danai Guirira, some if Nina’s, provably a bunch others I’m forgetting)

    • evave2

She has a great rump (I already said this about Danai Gurira (?) but so what). I think the dress is perfect to show off her assets but not to overwhelm the rest of the cast (if they are there).

I always really appreciated her because at one of her husband’s premier’s she dressed so perfectly “in support of her man” I loved her for it. PLUS she looked great pregnancy last year. PLUS she has a wonderful figure that doesn’t looked starved into submission. So yea, Jenna.

    • conniemd

The bottom of the skirt is really strange too.

    • HeatherMcIlrath

I got hooked on Witches of East End pretty fast. Next thing I knew, I had watched the first season in three days (and not even turned into a hermit, quite an accomplishment!) I haven’t started season 2 because I’m scared it will be ruined like most things….but I really enjoyed season 1! It seems to be Lifetime’s version of The Vampire Diaries (show full of unusually attractive people that are all screwing one another, etc). It was the perfect way to spend an hour or two while drinking coffee after work.

    • sleepycat

Um I like it think it is fun, but it gets a little too serious then goes campy. If you hated the way magic was learned in AHS: Coven, it is essentially the same thing, except there is a little tiny bit of actual reason why they pick it up so quickly.

    • Janet B

I want to go to the Tipsy Crow Bar.
Mrs. Tatum looks pretty, as usual. I still don’t like those shoes.

    • vhamster

“En pointe.” /exhale Been holding that in so long.

    • nannypoo

I hate everything about this a lot.

    • Trickytrisha

Pretty… awful print, IMO. That hem ruins the dress, but she’s so adorable, who cares?

    • V No Privacy

I’m into the show for what it is: campy, hilariously bad CGI, shirtless guys, Julia Ormond and Madchen Amick. Plus holding on to the hope that someday Channing will guest star in a similarly shirtless manner……

    • Shawn EH

I love Madchen Amick and like the rest of the cast; but I got distracted by AHS: Coven and decided to go with the unkinder, less gentle witches at the time.

    • kimmeister

This would have been a good dress with which to deploy the pink pump (not in suede though).

    • PinkyK

Her body is working that dress! I bet the fans all had chubbies!

    • EEKstl

      1. Ditto with me, TLo. Watched the 1st few eps and was intrigued enough but found myself not going back to it after awhile. Does it get engrossing, Unborn Fawns and Bitter Kittens? 2. Those sandals in red or cobalt and she’d be on to something. 3.Is it me, or does she continue to be soooo pretty??

    • Lex

Hate the bunchy belly and the length and the shoes. The bunches make me think the fabric is very thick– not a real summer-y look. Not sure why this got a T&L pass to be honest– it’s a mess to my eyes
