When did Jaime Pressly turn into Linda Evangelista circa 1999?

Why did Jaime Pressly wear all of these pieces at the same time? What, exactly, is going on with Jaime Pressly’s crotch? We have questions, so many questions.

This couldabin something. Or at least, various parts of it could have. We love the jacket. And if the pants weren’t doing that weird and distracting thing to her crotch, we’d be all for them. But that top is not the way to tie those two pieces together. You needed some contrast there, girl; not mismatched blacks. And besides, as much as we like the two pieces, we’re not entirely sure they belong in the same outfit. In other words, we’re not sure there’s a top that exists that could pull this look together. Good eye for separate pieces, bad eye for pairing, it seems.

A pixie cut is not for everyone, that’s all I’m sayin’.

      • Renaissance_Man_ATL

Sorry, I love this cut on her!

    • @Biting Panda

I’ve always had a soft spot for Jaime. She’s a spitfire. But I’m not loving the hair and this whole thing is giving me the impression of a woman struggling to embrace her age, if her age was upper 40s, and she’s not there yet, so why the struggle?

      • Grumpy Girl

Are you sure about her (real) age? I somehow remember her being in her late teens a longer-than-mathematical time.

        • @Biting Panda

Eh. The internet says born in ’77. And we all know actresses don’t lie about such details.

          • DinnerIsServed1972

Liar liar pants on fire. She has to be more than 2 years older than me.

          • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Her hands are older than mine & I’m ’73.

            • Steph

Don’t judge by hands. I was born in 88 and have witchy, bony, long-fingered hands. Can’t be helped!

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

I was 13 when I heard the concept of “miss-matched blacks”. It led me to see that whites could also be miss-matched. It broke my not-wanting-to-be-noticed heart.

I really love those pants. I hate the leopard print cuff. I internet-secretly love Jaime Pressly.

      • @Biting Panda

The leopard print cuff is a blow to the soul.

      • Ginger

Leopard print makes me stabby. I loved it waaaayyyyy back when (think over a decade ago), but I’m so sick of seeing it everywhere that I now wish it would die by the fire of a thousand suns. :)

        • DebbieLovesShoes

^ This. HAHAHA. “Leopard print makes me stabby” completely sums up my thoughts today as I passed yet another ugly leopard print on an 80 year old woman.

      • demidaemon

        She’s a great–yet criminally underused—comedic actress. I heart her, too!

        • Trent

Completely agree. She was hilariously tacky on My Name Is Earl, but seems to have fallen off the Hollywood map since. A shame.

          • demidaemon

            I miss that show!

            • Trent

Same here — and she won an Emmy for it! Also, she was on Hollywood Game Night tonight, and I’m not sure if I love the hair…

    • Shawn EH

White t-shirt, kinda the only way to go with this. A tight one.

    • Cyprienne Zed

She looks pretty good from the teeth up.

    • marlie

Keep the pants, keep the jacket, and add in a different shirt and shoes.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Something in a metallic kitten heel.

    • ashtangajunkie

I love those pants, want those pants, need to know more about the pants. Not sure about the hair. I want to like it because I love short hair, but really don’t like the cut on her.

      • Grumpy Girl

I think I do love the hair cut, but not the color–it looks to obviously not-natural. The Linda Evangelista vibe the uncles reference is really working for me in liking the cut on her: like I’m seeing her a whole new way from ever before.

    • Little_Olive

This is the stuff of 90’s nightmares (remember, they are not as colorful as the 80’s ones). And unlike the Uncles, I hate that stiff jacket. The pants are also giddy. I actually hate the whole thing, apparently.

      • FrigidDiva

I’m with you on the jacket. It fits weird and is makes her look wider than she is.

    • Sarah

      Her head is looking really…round.

    • halleygee

I immediately thought Linda Evangelista when I saw the thumbnail – totally.

    • Capt. Renault

Linda Evangelista isn’t the worst look to go for.

Trufax: I went to the same high school as Linda (but not at the same time). Everyone said that her brother was the good-looking one in the family. Never did find out.

      • Carleenml

I was thinking if someone ever asked “when did Carleen turn into Linda Evangelista” I could die happy.

    • jw_ny

That pixie…Jamie vying to be the next Peter Pan? (when/if…)

She has very strong facial features…that cut is not softening her at all, nor are the severely angled eyebrows.

    • Raspberry2012

Oh, I like this though! It’s very cute, and I love the hair and makeup too.

      • random_poster

I think we are in the minority. I think she looks fantastic. I get the comment about mismatched blacks, though, I’m not sure what color the shirt should be instead of black.

    • Nancer

But hey, I love the earrings and the hair, so there is that! I agree, with a better fit those pants would be really great. And I like all of the pieces too. And sometimes, a girl just wants to wear black. :]

    • Jessica Freeman

She is a gorgeous woman, but that hair is not working for her. Too many blacks that don’t go, she needed some color.

    • kimmeister

Goodness gracious, she really is Linda E’s doppelganger with that ‘do. I never knew Jaime was capable of looking so fierce.

      • Sarah

I always want her to be in some kind of crazy ponytail with marabou and fake cherries or something, ala Joy Turner. I guess this is more classy, but man, that is a funny character. I have mad respect for her for her commitment to that part.

    • Danielle

Marlon looks like he’s going to eat her alive.

      • Sarah

Haha so true. Cedric the Entertainer is not happy about it, either.

    • marlie

The more I look at this, the more I think that her makeup and hair – especially her hair – are horribly unflattering. They really do nothing for her.

      • Glam Dixie

It makes her head look twice the size of a normal head. I can’t even notice the clothes because of the giant melon. I know it’s not real, it’s just an optical illusion. Please don’t let it be real.

    • lynnlee

That hair makes her look like she’s playing Peter Pan on Broadway.

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

        “i do, i do believe in fairies, i DO, i DO….”

    • colleenjanel

The neck up is giving me Southern Society Divorcee whose kids are grown, and is trying to prove that she’s still ‘got it’ and is sassy as ever.

The rest is just making my left eye twitch.

    • decormaven

Too many different style flavors going on here. Just pick one and run with it. The hair gives me a wiggy feel, for some reason.

    • jilly_d

I am not loving the hair on her, but the pants are terrific. It’s unfortunate that she’s wearing 4 of the most mismatched blacks in the galaxy.

    • Lex

LOL to your Linda Evangelista comment. Love it– you are spot on!

    • MannahattaMamma

It’s the wal-mart version of Robin Wright on “House of Cards.”

    • demidaemon

I think those pants are pretty cool (ignoring the crotch issue) but everything else is doing weird things to her proportions.

    • Nika E

Im getting King Joffery. Im just saying. ..

    • Eric Stott

The leopard cuffs on the jacket look pretty random in that sea of black. A different top or at least some jewelry would have helped.

    • KT

Holy shit — she looks JUST like Linda Evangelista!! Great call

    • MilaXX

I like the hair and face, but the outfit has too many competing blacks.

    • melanie0866

That haircut is NOT flattering. In fact, it’s a little scary.

    • pop_top

      Dying @ ‘couldabin.’

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

I call that type of fit the “frowning crotch.” Or the “sad crotch.” Depends on the angle of the pulling.

      • http://howtofaint.tumblr.com/ How to Faint

It’s giving her phantom wood in one of the photos.

    • d4divine

A simple white t shirt…hoop earrings, and call the tailor about that crotch situation…I’m on the fence about that bracelet…wait no…switch it out for skinny stackables

    • Clash D

I can’t hate. I like the pixie cut on her. Pants seem a bit too tight but I don’t have an issue with the animal print, save that the cuff treatment looks weird.

    • Sophie

      Love the earrings.

    • RutGot

Oh, actually I love her hair. I’m thinking of taking her picture to my stylist next time I go. Super cute.

    • Pterodactyl111

      Those earrings are slick.

    • OffToSeeHim

I like her hair that way.
