Posted on March 26, 2014

We were going to say we’d wear everything in this look when we realized, we kind of do already.

Nicely done, Andrew. If you’re dressing like T Lo, you’re doing it RIGHT.

Now fix your collar, button your jacket and stop leaning to one side. We’ll work on the goofy faces later.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a photo of Lorenzo in that exact same getup.

    • teensmom99

I’m pretty sure I saw Lorenzo at a reading in that exact same getup.

      • Emily Smith

I wish I could convince my husband to wear that get up. Perhaps not in those exact colors though.

        • Danielle

I hear you, girl. I’d like t get mine out of year-round flip flop before he turns 40…

          • demidaemon

I support you in this endeavor. Does he wear socks with them? If he does, I will help you destroy every flip flop in a fifty mile vicinity.

          • Mine does, but only to bait me D:

          • demidaemon

HMMPH. So wrong. I can’t with that “style.”

          • Emily Smith

Mine doesn’t wear flip flops like ever which is interesting now that I think about it but I wish he’d stop arguing with me about not being allowed to wears sneakers with his jeans and button down to nice dinners or to couples showers. Put your black socks on and your damn dress shoes. The answer is always the same. Bah. Also he refuses to have more than one pair of shoes at a time. One pair of black leather slip ons for work, which he will wear until they need replaced and then one new pair. No variation, and never a brown shoe, ever. Blagharerghaoirejfg. Hmph.

          • melisaurus

Brown shoes are not a necessity. You can build a wardrobe with black as your main neutral. My only brown boots are for hiking & snow. Doesn’t sound like he has built a wardrobe at all though.

          • Emily Smith

He is pretty anti-building a wardrobe. I could buy him a selection of black shoes, and he simply would only wear one pair. He has a good collection of pants and button downs, I buy all his clothes and just put them in his closet, but I buy within a comfort zone of stuff I know he’ll wear. Anytime I branch too far out of that he has a hissy fit and I have to return the item.

My hubby is 31 and still clings to tee-shirts, jeans and skate shoes for EVERYTHING. I have to really browbeat him into wearing a button down or a sweater for datenight or other dressier events. Don’t even get me started on the stupid cargo shorts he insists on wearing in the summer.

          • Emily Smith

I can do cargo shorts, but I banned cargo pants from the house and he works in an office where he has to be business casual everyday so I did manage to convince him to graduate from polo shirts and pleated khakis (engineers uniform…) to button downs and flat front chinos or slacks. Big improvement there, so he does usually put a button down on for dinners. But the sneakers thing drives me nuts.

  • deelup

Looks like what the guys at my high school used to wear, swapping the jeans for khakis. Also, jacket seems like it came from the boys department.

  • Ann VerWiebe

It’s a great business casual look!

  • Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

  • Scimommy

That’s all well and good but he is playing Spider Man. Why is he dressing like he’s promoting a… Western?

  • Me Again

What’s that thing between the first and second button on the shirt? At first I thought he missed a button, but I don’t think that’s it.

    • Jeremiah Capacillo

      Maybe a tiny mike?

    • kimmeister

Looks like a random, diagonal buttonhole that has no corresponding button.

      • EveEve

My thought too. That’s some pretty random random. Is it a thing?

    • alyce1213

Oddly — his jacket has NO buttons (unless they’re on the inside, which would be even stranger). Just buttonholes.

      • tereliz

OMG, the buttons ARE on the inside, I can see the threads fastening them to the jacket. Huh.

  • Patrick Cleary

I think he just has RGF, or Resting Goofy Face.

    • Crystal

      classic case of RGF.

  • Why is he tilting? What is happening in China? Should we know about it?

  • kimmeister

Everything fits impeccably – the jacket’s shoulders & sleeve length, pant legs, etc. Score one for him!

  • paginatrix

Nice duds, but I don’t think you all wear the goofy faces.

  • ScarlettHarlot

I like that this actually helps him look his age since he has such youthful facial features.

    • Rhonda Shore

and an amazing head of hair…

  • crash1212

This is pretty near perfect. Nicely done. Love the shoes.

  • kirkyo

Perfect. That is how a shirt sleeve should show under a sport coat. Also, that is one A+ goofy face and I wouldn’t change it.

  • Mary Lauer

Yeah, I was gonna say you don’t wear that douchebag look on your faces tho!

  • Crystal

    • E2_Remote

Can’t tell just by looking, but they might be Cole Haan, who BTW make fantastic men’s shoes. Mr. E2 is a major fan. Added bonus that they use Nike soles in many of their shoes (men’s and women’s), so they’re super comfortable as well as stylish.

  • jonnyf8

Andrew/Emma are such a big improvement over Toby/Kirsten, in every way including fashion.

    • demidaemon

Agreed. They are both weirdly insufferable and dour.

  • Tatiana Luján

    I love those shoes!

  • colleenjanel

I want him to get a haircut and use just a *smidge* of product.

    • decormaven

      That’s some poof-y hair.

  • MilaXX

I like this. If a male celeb is going to wear jeans on the RC this is the way to go.

  • marlie

Aww. He dresses like the bf on (casual) date night! Cute. I approve.

  • alyce1213

All’s well, everything is really nicely chosen and well-fitted, but where are his buttons?

  • His hair is so BIG.

    • WendyD

      IT’S SO FLUFFY!!!

  • B_C_J

    I want the shoes.

  • hillmad

Why are the jacket buttons missing or on backwards?

  • Grumpy Girl

Yes, I love those shoes. And they are polished and not at all scuffed. (Which shouldn’t have to be a point of admiration, but all too frequently seems to be something rare.)

  • LOVE the shoes.

  • demidaemon

I feel like something is off here, but I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it’s all the leaning and that’s causing the clothes to look stranger than they rightly should.

  • Kirstin McAulay

Fab man for the press look, loving the shoes!

  • Jacob Bowen

This is a good “Be Me” outfit, but I totally want to “Do him”.

  • Bill Craven

I have those shoes and that belt. I think he’s goofy because it’s his “if this is Tuesday then this must be Beijing” after flying 12 hours to get there face.

  • formerlyAnon

    I love those shoes.

  • NBG

Great shoes but he’s totally projecting “Cute Adjunct in the English Department at Liberal Arts College” and not movie star here. But hey, that might be intentional.
