The enormous cast of The House of Guinness came out for the series premiere in a combination of low effort and high style looks. Let’s assess these beermongers.
Louis Partridge
We can tell all of the pieces are nice, but they don’t come together to make an interesting outfit.
Anthony Boyle
See previous entry.
Niamh McCormack
That is one goofy-looking crop top.
Hilda Fay
We’re not loving the combination matte and satin blacks and we think the tie should be red.
James Norton
Meh. Again, it’s fine but it’s not very photogenic. We appreciate that he took our advice to start sporting a little bronzer on his face, which tends to come off pasty in pictures, but around his mouth it looks like he just finished a bag of Cheetos. Gotta blend that shit.
Fionn O’Shea
This is cute and it reminds us of the time Tom almost wore a leather bomber over a shirt and tie before Lorenzo told him it looked a little “Irish Mafia.”
Jessica Reynolds
Love the shoes. The dress is okay, but we really dislike the color.
Dervla Kirwan
This is sharp and we love the flare of the pants.
Danielle Galligan
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, HONEY. You tried it, we’ll give you that. Pretty sure that’s not real fur, but it’s still an abomination. Take those parts off and this would be a passably sharp outfit.
Michael McElhatton
Can’t argue with that, although the tie/collar situation needs adjusting.
Seamus O’Hara
Well alrighty, then. You know what? We can’t actually be mad at this. We always say, especially when it comes to male performers, who tend to be more shy about this sort of thing, that stars should come to red carpets dressed like the jesters and tumblers they really are instead of showing up looking like socialites and lawyers. From a purely design/style perspective, we have some issues here, not the least of which is that the print is too busy for a picture-taking situation and an all-satin outfit makes a poor choice for most red carpets. But absolutely no one would mistake this guy for a studio executive or a security professional. Everyone who looks at this knows in an instant: this guy’s a performer and he’s very proud of that. We love that. Sláinte, Seamus.
