Princess Catherine joined Prince William this morning for a visit to Farnborough Road Infant and Junior School in Birkdale, Southport, to show support to the families affected by the knife attack in July 2024. It was Businesslike Cathy all the way for this trip.
She has to thread a needle of being respectful toward the seriousness of the attack while also being relatable and approachable to the people she’s meeting, especially the children. This is where the “Working Mom Cathy” style tends to work the best. All of the gray makes perfect sense for an occasion like this one, but we can’t say we’re loving that pink blouse. Still, it gives that little touch of “princess” for little girls to respond to while the rest of the look is relatively stripped bare in deference to the occasion.
