Before she stepped out in a dress we hate, The Testament of Ann Lee star Amanda Seyfried joined her co-stars for the Venice Film Festival photo call, in which she wore Julia Roberts’ dirty laundry. No, really.

As noted by Amanda’s stylist Elizabeth Stewart, who is also Julia Roberts’ stylist, she loved the outfit Julia wore to the photo call for After the Hunt just the day before that she asked if she could just borrow the whole thing. Can’t blame her. As we noted when Julia wore it, it’s a classic look that’s well-suited to her. The colors of the shirt work better with Amanda’s coloring and we think the whole outfit looks better with sandals.
Lewis Pullman
He loves this sort of retro western style and we don’t blame him, because he’s extremely well-suited to it. We do think he goes to the well often enough that it comes off gimmicky and this outfit in particular looks more like a stage costume than fashion for a photo call.
Viola Prettejohn in Miu Miu
We’re not at all prudish about an ingenue doing a sexy British schoolgirl turn, but that skirt is absolutely ludicrous. More like a hair accessory with pockets than a wearable garment.
Christopher Abbott
Try harder, Christopher. We’d accept just a little bit more effort, but in truth, you should be making significantly more.
Thomasin McKenzie in Marc Jacobs
Adorable. A little overdressed, maybe, but we’ll never fault a gal for taking her shot.
