The very large cast of I Know What You Did Last Summer came out in high style for the Los Angeles premiere. We salute them for taking this moment between the Superman and Fantastic Four promo tours and running with it.

No one half-assed it. Of course that doesn’t mean the efforts resulted in fabulously chic looks all around. Let’s assess.

Austin Nichols

Cute, well fitted, nice color. Love the shoes.

Let’s get you to bed, grandpa. No sense in making you stand there when you’re so clearly exhausted. Honestly, why would you, as one of the pinup dudes of the ’90s, show up to a premiere with a bunch of kids in an outfit and styling designed to make you look twenty years older?

Meh. The design is both stale and overwrought. We’d like to see corset bodices banned for a decade.

Gabbriette Bechtel

It’s not very photogenic and the outfit comes a little too close to nice office-wear, but we like the leather cuff and the slight edge to the look.

We give him credit for sporting a lace suit, but at the end of the day, it’s a lace suit; in other words, a design rendered in a textile that’s completely wrong for it. We also can’t say we love the silhouette of fitted jacket and wide-legged pants.

Simple and uncomplicated. Works for us. We’d have recommended sandals, however.

Jonah Hauer-King

Guys, enough with the black suits. Skipping the shirt doesn’t make them more interesting.

The problem with the skinny suit trend is that it taught a whole generation of guys the wrong lessons about how suits are supposed to fit. A skinny suit is not a suit that’s too small on you. It’s a suit with a more fitted silhouette. This is not that. This is a guy hulking out. Also, those shoes are awful.

It’s a beautifully draped gown but that shade of pink doesn’t flatter her.

Sam Lansky

If you’re going to do head-to-leather, it has to be leather that looks expensive. This is borderline vinyl.

He looks great, if a little boring. Her dress is gorgeous, but her accessories are very much in that circa 2015 “pop of color” mode. They don’t look bad, but white or black accessories would have looked more of-the-moment.

Well, it’s probably the weirdest dress we’ve seen in months; we’ll give it that. The color is awful and the boots don’t go.

This feels like a lot for a July premiere. We like it, but we don’t think the pleated skirt works over the conventional dress pants.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.
