Let’s play a little game. First, we’ll stipulate that the gown Jennifer Hudson wore to the Daytime Emmys is pretty great. What you have to do, as you scroll down, is find the two parts of this look we two nitpicky bitches are going to obsess over. Ready? GO:
The gown really is pretty great, and that’s coming from two queens who hate black-backed florals most of the time. But this one has sparkle and we really like the scale of the flowers. We don’t even mind the neckline, in case you thought that was one of our objections. The bust’s a little snug, but the style and shape really work for her, especially with the addition of those straps. No, it’s the shoes and the earrings. We bet most of you figured on the former, because they really stick out like a couple of pointy thumbs, but we also think those pinks gems look chintzy with the dress.
