Pope Tilda graced the Fashion Awards red carpet with her presence – and one hell of an ensemble.
The pontiff wields fashion like an artist; in this case, both literally and figuratively. The pieces are based on artwork by Scottish artist and playwright John Byrne, her former partner and the father of her children. The dress references Byrne’s mural for King’s Theatre in Edinburgh. This is both a head-turning fashion moment as well as a personal tribute and statement. We love both pieces, but if we’re being perfectly nitpicky about it, we think they’d be much better not competing with each other. The dress alone is stunning; especially with that spectacular hair style.
