Kelly Rowland stepped out for the premiere of her new film The Curse of Bridge Hollow in a look that said “Miss Kelly Rowland will not be handing out hugs this evening.”

We really like the jacket design but we’re afraid there’s just a little too much outfit happening here. Taking in the look book shot below, we think that jacket really does work best when it’s the centerpiece of a look – in other words, worn without pants or skirt. It’s an interesting design but it needs some room to breathe. We love the hair, the earrings and the shoes, but they’re all kinda fighting with the jacket for visual dominance. The gloves don’t work with it at all. We can certainly understand why she’d opt to wear pants with it, but the shape of this pair doesn’t quite work with it. We’d have recommended much simpler styling and a full length, straight leg pant with a simple boot.
