That thing is so heavy and over-embellished that it doesn’t even look like an article of clothing. It looks like a very intense craft project with sleeves. We would imagine that this probably looks kind of amazing in person. That’s a lot of sparkle and texture, after all. But we simply can’t get behind the heaviness and thickness of the shape. It needs a more defined waist and less aggressively designed shoulders, we’re thinking. Alternately, they could have made it more of a shift shape, with a less defined waist, raised the hem slightly and toned down the shoulders. Basically, what the first dress in the runway picture looks like. But this length and shape? Not working for us.
On the other hand, her head looks fabulous and impeccable.
