The stars of the invitingly titled They Will Kill You came to the SXSW world premiere in a range of uncoordinated outfits. Let’s assess their style efforts, shall we? Just for fun.
Zazie Beetz in Collina Strada

From the hair down to the shoes, there’s too much going on here. The hair is gorgeous, but the dress is so fussy that wearing it down in front is interfering with the design. Granted, it’s probably a good idea to distract from that frock because it’s kind of ugly. The “bodice” is terribly unflattering and the flower appliques feel like they belong with another dress. With everything else going on above the ankles, we think a simpler pair of sandals was called for here.
Myha’La in Valentino

The dress is pretty cute, but we hate that collar. On the other hand, it’s distracting momentarily from the sight of those awful shoes giving her goblin feet, so maybe it’s for the best.
Tom Felton

The jacket’s nice. The sunglasses are a little douchey, the pants are too big on him, and the shoes are too dressy for such a casual outfit. Also, the color story does nothing for him. He’s a hardboiled egg.
Heather Graham in Donna Karan

It’s a classic “I’ve still got it” dress and it turns out? She’s still got it. It looks pretty great. She could’ve used some accessories other than the eyeball.
Patricia Arquette in L’Agence

The jacket and blouse look great on her. We’re less in love with the skirt, only because we hate center slits and we think this one looks a little flimsy with the bulky top half. Pants would have been a great way to finish this off. We’re surprised that she looks this good in mostly white.
