Imperfect Women star Kate Mara stopped by The View in an ensemble that doesn’t look remotely like her style, but does provide a helpful illustration of a classic stylist’s mistake.

But at least she’s ready for the first day of Spring. The dress is a little cute, but that ruffle comes pretty close to a dealbreaker for us. The slightly countrified style doesn’t feel like her at all, but there’s nothing wrong with expanding your style horizons a bit. There is something wrong about pairing that dress and jacket, however. We’re afraid her team figured that any two items with red flowers on them go together, but they really don’t. The styles are totally different and the gray doesn’t exactly elevate the yellow. The flower appliques are cute, but those “stems” are seriously dumb. Killer sandals, though.
