A whole bunch of stars came out for the Louis Vuitton and W Magazine-hosted Intimate Awards Dinner, which is, we presume, not about handing out awards for intimacy but is about hosting stars intimately during awards season. Whatever the case, it’s a really dumb name for an event. Let’s take out our frustrations on the attendees.
Ana de Armas
Hello, 2003. This is cute but it looks pretty dated to us. Maybe this is the Gen X in us speaking, but we feel like a pair of kickass shoes were called for here rather than those elegantly neutral sandals. In related news, we’ve noticed that manis and pedis are trending down lately. You see less and less color on hands and feet right now.
Britt Lower
This is a strange getup, which makes it somewhat perfect for her because she’s a little weirdo. We think the top and the jacket would be better off if they weren’t fighting each other for attention.
Chase Infiniti
Love it. We definitely understand switching the hair up as it suits her, but this is probably the least interesting hairstyle she’s sported all season.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph
While we don’t think this color makes the best choice for her, the design, fit and styling are all spectacular.
Elle Fanning
Girl, what the hell happened to your dress? And why are you wearing it with those shoes?
Emma Stone

This is fine, if a little underwhelming. We are very upset that square-toed shoes are back.

That’s a great jacket and this would have looked so much better with boots.

It’s all a bit much – the print’s kind of ugly, the pieces are overdesigned, and we’re not convinced those shitkickers work with it – but it’s well suited to him and it’s not boring. It is us or has he not aged at all over the last decade? You’d never know he was closing in on thirty.

Only she could make this work. We’re surprised by how well those colors work together.
Joel Edgerton
We’re not mad at it because that jacket’s gorgeous and the whole look suits him well.
Kate Hudson
You can tell who’s up for awards consideration in this crowd. This is really great. Turns out, she’s well suited to a business dom vibe.
Katherine LaNasa
It’s probably fine, but it sure isn’t photogenic.
Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys
This whole crowd is working such a late ’90s/early aughts vibe. The proportions on his outfit are terrible and the styles don’t suit him. She’s actually making that getup work for her. although the sleeves situation is a little weird.
Regina King
This all feels like a very aggressive attempt to style up these pieces so they don’t look like Nana wear. Love the hair, makeup and shades, but this outfit just isn’t working.

The pants are kind of fun, but the top is giving salon smock.
Teyana Taylor
We can’t tell if she landed one of the best ensembles or if she’s just very good at making these wacky styles look good, but either way, she’s crushing it here. She just needs a hem job and to get rid of that weird tail thing.
Wunmi Mosaku
This is fantastic, but we hate those boots.
