Golden Globes 2026: The Couples

Perhaps we were a little premature asking if Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons were the cutest couple on the Golden Globes red carpet, because it turns out there were a lot of contenders for the title. Let’s assess!

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester (in Miu Miu)

Love a jacket that’s a potential migraine-inducer. He looks great. Her dress is fine, but we don’t think the yellow patch works at all.

Amy Madigan, Ed Harris and Lily Dolores Harris

Love that Amy went with a Chaplin-style tux, love that Ed went for velvet, love that Lily opted for this kickass boots.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis (in Carolina Herrera)

We like her dress for being slightly unusual. You don’t see print gowns on major awards show red carpets all that much. His hair looks very, very silly.

Dave Franco and Alison Brie (in Anna October)

Impeccably boring.

Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian

Gotta say, he looks stunning, although we’re not fans of velvet loafers with tuxes. Her golds clash and we don’t like the neckline at all.

Ethan Hawke and Ryan Hawke

He might just have us coming around on bolo ties, if only because he’s so uniquely well suited to them. The shoes are bad, though. She looks great.

George Clooney and Amal Clooney (in Balmain)

Can’t really argue with any of that. We know he joked for years that he wore the same tux to every awards show, but we’re pretty sure he’s updated it.

Kevin Hart and Eniko Hart

The pants are a little snug, but the fit and proportions of his suit are otherwise flawless. Love the slightly odd choice of textile. Her gown is fine, but we’re very tired of these corset-adjacent designs.

Melissa McCarthy (in Christian Siriano) and Ben Falcone

They look great. The lacing is a little odd, but it’s mostly well done. Love the earrings.

Noah Wyle and Sara Wells

His people put him in a trendy wide-legged, double-breasted brown tux, but we really don’t think he’s well-served by it. He doesn’t look bad in it, but he’s definitely more of a “classic menswear styles” kind of guy. Her gown is lovely and her hair looks great.

Priyanka Chopra (in Dior) and Nick Jonas

No notes here, although we don’t exactly love the design of her skirt.

Selena Gomez (in Chanel) and Benny Blanco

Adorable. He’s the only guy we can think of who can get away with sockless loafers with formalwear. We suppose it helps that he’s also not wearing a shirt, which is another thing he can get away with.

Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen

Her dress is pretty but it kind of looks like a wall of keys behind a concierge’s desk. As always, his fit is perfect. We love the color story.

Wagner Moura and Sandra Delgado

We don’t love the mismatched whites of his look, but we do appreciate how much effort was put into it. We love that she’s wearing pants, but the top looks a bit too casual for the setting.
