Tessa Thompson kept the look SUPER low key for the New York screening of Hedda — so low key that the only reason we’re featuring it at all is in case she gets some sort of awards consideration down the road and we have to do a retrospective of her Oscar campaign style choices. Is that mean? We’re not feeling mean, but maybe that sounded dismissive.

On the other hand, this is a pretty dismissable outfit. It’s not bad, and we’d never suggest she looks bad in it, it’s just a bit boring and safe and unphotogenic is all. Hair and makeup look great and we love the jewelry choices, so it’s kind of a shame that the rest of it feels like an afterthought.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:

Over the course of one charged night, long-repressed desires and hidden tensions erupt—pulling her and everyone around her into a spiral of manipulation, passion, and betrayal.
