Some ladystars stepped out in Paris to celebrate Roger Vivier shoes and some of them chose to sport fairly eye-popping looks for the occasion. Given how gaudy those shoes can get, they probably had the right idea.
Catherine Deneuve

Not this classic, though. She won’t be showing up in anything silly or fussy. She’ll keep it simple and effortlessly stylish. To be fair, the outfit’s not much, but the hair and makeup are flawless.
Naomi Campbell in Lanvin

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu

If this had a more conventional, less messy-looking hem, it would totally work. Everything above the hem looks great. The shoes are silly, but she chose the right dress for them. The bag doesn’t go.
Sarah Paulson in Carven

Clown shoes for clown clothes. We don’t think the shoes work, but the outfit’s kind of amazing.
Shailene Woodley

A human snore.
Tracee Ellis Ross

Sharp and simple. Ironically, she could’ve used a showier pair of shoes here.
